Recent Projects

Check out a few of the recent college level projects I have completed

Media Planning and Buying: Mary Kay Cosmetics

Through a Media Planning and Buying course, my team members and I researched and developed an effective marketing strategy for the Mary Kay Cosmetics brand. Various media outlets were analyzed  to best target 18-25 women throughout the United States with goals such as increasing awareness, product perception and overall sales. Rationale and in depth budget strategies were established as well as media/spending waste minimization. The team developed a creative strategy for our analysis and recommendations and presented our findings to our colleagues.

Marketing Campaign: Facebook

For an Advertising and Promotions course, my team members and I developed a marketing campaign focusing on the Facebook brand. Our assignment was to reevaluate the reason for a decrease in college usage of the social media platform and develop creative strategies to reposition the brand. Through data collection and analysis, my team compiled a Creative Strategy Brief, Situation Analysis and full presentation based on our findings with information from Qualtrics and SPSS. We developed a campaign "Like Privacy. Like Facebook" to target male college students with a  series of print advertisements, promotional materials and a basic commercial advertisement. This experience broadened my understanding for developing a realistic marketing campaign.

Marketing Research: Coupon Usage

For a marketing research course, my team members and I developed and distributed a survey pertaining to the usage and view of couponing. By incorporating demographic questions and questions based on coupon usage, familiarity and comfortability with sharing personal information online, my team members and I were able to run cross-tabulations to discover insightful results. Through our analysis we utilized Qualtrics to capture our survey responses and SPSS to analyze statistical significance of our findings.

User Generated Content: The New York Knicks

As assigned for an Advertising and Promotions course, my team members and I were presented the task of creating a User Generated Content (UGC) campaign for a popular sports team. Through careful analysis of competitors, we chose the New York Knicks and developed a creative strategy for engaging users, prompting them to upload photos, videos and information based on their opinions. The campaign targeted strong supporting fans of the team and planned to utilize sponsorship with Sprint to create a user generated commercial contest. The overall concept was presented to our colleagues.

Peace and Justice Studies Campaign: Nonviolence in the Food Industry

Through a Peace and Justice course, I developed a creative Nonviolent Campaign working toward attaining suitable and humane conditions for animals within the food industry. Using strategic nonviolent tactics, I assembled a potential campaign to end unjust animal cruelty while working toward proper regulations within the meat market. This project allowed me to utilize my business and marketing training in a nontraditional realm by establishing a SWOT analysis and situational analysis.
